Hi, I’m Julie Baumgartner — an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and the heart behind Best Hope Lactation.

 

I work with new and growing families during one of the most vulnerable seasons of life. Feeding challenges, exhaustion, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm are incredibly common in those early weeks, and my goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and confident every step of the way.

 

I provide personalized lactation care through in-home, office, and virtual visits, supporting families with breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, bottle refusal, breast health concerns, newborn feeding, and feeding transitions. Every family is different, and I take the time to understand your goals, your baby, and your unique situation so we can create a plan that fits real life — not a textbook.

 

My approach is gentle, practical, and centered on you. You won’t receive one-size-fits-all advice here. Instead, you’ll get compassionate guidance, clear next steps, and steady support designed to help feeding feel calmer and more manageable.

 

I believe parents deserve care too — not just babies. Whether you’re preparing for your newborn, navigating feeding challenges, or adjusting to life after discharge, I’m here to walk alongside you with encouragement, experience, and respect for your journey.
